Στο πλαίσιο του εορτασμού της παγκόσμιας ημέρας αρχιτεκτονικής το ελληνικό τμήμα UIA σε συνεργασία με την ένωση αρχιτεκτόνων Κατερίνης διοργάνωσε Ημερίδα με θέμα «Αρχιτεκτονική, κληρονομιά, χρήσεις, κοινωνία».
On Monday October 7the Union of Architects of Katerini (a city in Macedonia, Greece) with the support of the UIA Greek section organized a one day seminar to celebrate this year World Architecture Day.
The event included the exhibitionof the proposals of an architectural competition, the awarding of the winners of the competition (3 awards) and lectures & discussions on the theme “Architecture: Heritage, Uses, Society” by: prof. N.Tsinikas (UIA member), prof.St.Mamaloukos, prof.V.Pagounis & D.Anastasiou.
The president of the Greek UIA section Fani Vavili gave a short speech on the “Architecture…housing for all” with reference to the UIA President Thomas Vonier’s statement for the day. She referred also to the UNESCO-UIA International Competitions, she mentioned the issue of UIA “Gender Equity Policy in Architecture” and the UIA Rio 2020 congress.
